The Audi S1 e-tron quattro Hoonitron, to give it its full name, is a clear tilt at Ford's Mustang Mach E 1400 although Audi Sport's engineers are keeping tight-lipped about power and technical specs for the time being. By the end of 1986, and Group B Rally, the Sport Quattro S1 E2 made an astonishing 592 hp. Yet, it was starting to get outclassed by lighter cars with slightly less power but better 4WD systems. Plans for the Audi Sport Quattro RS 002 fell through when Group B Rally ended, but rumored specs were insane.
